Hi there, I’m Tom and this is my third year at Christ’s studying HSPS.
My job as JCR Male Welfare and Gender Equalities Officer is to help ensure the wellbeing of all undergraduate students in their time at Christ’s. I’m here to make sure that students are aware of the available College and University welfare services, acting as an approachable figure around College with whom to discuss any issues, and supporting students through any welfare problems that might arise.
I act as a student representative on JCR liaison meetings and Governing Body meetings. Mandated on a platform of welfare being a political issue, it’s also my job to push College to pursue policy conducive to a safe, supportive, and liberated environment, conducive to the wellbeing of students. As the valuable human beings that we are beyond our academic work and essays, I also run welfare events with the Female Welfare Officer (among the other brilliant events in College) to help us come together as a community and get involved in enjoyable activity!
For any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to send me an email or a Facebook message!
