We are the Christ's College Men's Sporting Society, established in 1899 to uphold the sporting excellence of Christ's College. We consist of Christ's students who have excelled at sport both within the college or at University level. Recognising the importance of regular physical activity in a healthy life, we seek to drive people from their dark, library nests; out of their joyless study-caves; out into the dazzling light of the pitches, pools, courts, and curry houses that a sportsperson at Christ's can enjoy.
Sport is a fabulous way to meet new people and as a society, we regularly bring together sportspeople from different colleges to discuss the various successes and failures of our sporting lives over an evening meal. Despite some of the mustier academics suggesting otherwise, we thoroughly believe it is possible to enjoy yourself while at university. So, as well as extolling the joys of regular sport, we regularly come together with the Hippolytans to throw parties or host other social fixtures throughout the year, the highlight being our May week garden party.
