Rooms Database Tour

Welcome to the new rooms database! This quick tour is designed to help you find your way to all the new information that will be contained in the database.

When you first come to the rooms database, you'll be presented with all the staircases and houses in college:

Simply click on the staircase you want to look at.

On the next page, you'll see some breadcrumbs at the top of the page so you can see where you currently are. Click on start at any time to go to the main menu.
You'll also see a short description of the staircase and maybe a photo. Some of the larger staircases require you to select a floor to see the rooms.

Then you'll see cards representing every room in the staircase. If the card has been filled in by a previous occupant, it'll look like this:

On the left you'll see vital information about the room: its name, the floor of the building it's on, its price band and category (A/B/C for leaving things over the vacations). En suites and shared bathrooms are marked and you can see how long ago the comments were left. Then there are ratings for various aspects of the room (1 is very poor, 5 is very good) and an inventory of furniture and kitchen equipment. There are also positive, negative and general comments left by previous occupants. Hover over underlined items like this to see help information about some of the categories.

If no-one has filled in a card for a room, it'll look like this:

If this is your room, then you can help! Click on the link to take the survey and fill in the details for the room. You must be logged in with Raven to see the link!
If it's not your room, you could maybe go and visit it instead; people are generally happy to let you look round! We hope to have as many rooms as possible filled in on the database soon.

Thanks for taking this tour; hopefully you now know everything you need to know about the Rooms Database.
